Your point of view makes perfect sense. When I have to go to another news service (not the online local paper) to get breaking news, information, events, etc., it means they have lost a reader. I think people want to customize their online information. Gone are the days of websites that feed you what they think you should have. Newspapers need to think about what their readers want and how they want it delivered. ~ my 2 cents.

The sneaky part of being active in a community is that I don't have to respond to every comment, because I'm probably talking to you on Twitter or Facebook, or even in person.

Being plugged into a group of people who are always looking out for you helps in so many ways, it makes me scratch my head when people don't do it.

I get more information handed to me via Twitter everyday than I ever could on my own.

I can't even count the cool stuff I see everyday because I follow Mandi Harrell Leman as blellow on Twitter.

Here is a comment on your post. Will you read it? Will you reply? Will you make me, the reader feel important? Part of the conversation?

I know you will because your @1918, but this is good advice. Too bad, the people who should here it probably won't reply.
